Family law encompasses many individual challenges and areas. Kevin has helped his clients through tough cases ranging from divorce, child support modification or enforcement, to custody disputes. As a prior law enforcement officer, Kevin also handles cases involving protective orders for family violence. Though appeals are not a common occurrence in the field of family law, they do occur. Kevin’s skills as both a talented writer and speaker form the foundation for the appellate division of our firm. His unique blend of abilities, combined with that of the rest of our team, ensure that Boudreaux|Hunter & Associates, LLC can represent our clients at all stages of litigation.
Kevin is a proud alumnus of South Texas College of Law. South Texas College of Law is the leading courtroom advocacy institution in the United States. The school in renowned for preparing its graduates for highly skilled courtroom representation at both the trial court and appellate court levels of a case. Kevin served as an Officer for the Board of Advocates. He earned the honor of competing as a varsity advocate in national competitions.
As a varsity-level competitor, Kevin competed in:
· Civil Rights & Liberties Moot Court Competition at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia
· National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition at Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.
Undergraduate Studies & Previous Career
Prior to family law, Kevin served in the United States Air Force as a firefighter. He was a tremendous asset to the military. Excelling and earning recognition at every one of his military assignments and deployments. Kevin was selected to the prestigious Air Force One detail at Andrews Air Force Base during both President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush’s time in the Oval Office.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in fire science at Wayland Baptist University. Eventually transitioning into a law enforcement role with the Alaska State Troopers fire investigation division.
Today, Kevin is honored to continue to serve good people through the toughest of times. Family law can have a lot of difficult situations that are compounded by the painful emotions that accompany them. Kevin’s passion for helping people and his ability to remain calm under pressure set him apart as a lawyer. His goal with each case is to provide clients with strong, thorough, and decisive solutions empowering them to move forward in a positive way.
